Introduction of 51022-70-9 :

Salbutamol (Albuterol) hemisulfate is an orally active short-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist. Salbutamol hemisulfate promotes tumorigenesis in gastric cancer cells through the β2-AR/ERK/EMT pathway. Salbutamol hemisulfate can relax bronchial smooth muscle and is used to study bronchospasm induced by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease[1][2]. In Vitro:Salbutamol (16 μM; 24 h) hemisulfate significantly induces EMT, migration and invasion by ERK (extracellular signal-regulated kinase) phosphorylation in gastric cancer cells[1].
In Vivo:Salbutamol (5 mg/kg; oral administration; 2 weeks) hemisulfate can increase tumor growth in nude mice with gastric cancer[1].
Salbutamol (6 mg/kg; oral administration; 4 weeks) hemisulfate has a significant protective effect against Streptozotocin (HY-13753)-induced skeletal muscle atrophy in diabetic rats[2].
