Hydrocortisone acetate (Hydrocortisone 21-acetate) is a corticosteroid used to reduce swelling, itching and pain caused by minor skin irritations or hemorrhoids[1].
In Vivo:Hydrocortisone acetate (25 mg/kg, s.c., on the 10th, 11th and 12th days of pregnancy) causes the limb buds of 14-day-old embryos dilatation of the venous marginal sinuses (14·4%), extensive distal mesoblast necrosis (7·9%), distal haemorrhages (10·7%), and frequent necrotic centres in the limb skeleton blastemas[1].
Hydrocortisone acetate (0.25-5 mg in 0.1 mL, s.c.) reduces concentration of all subclasses of IgG, IgA, and IgM in mice[2].
