Bisabolene (mixture of isomers) serves as an important precursor for the production of industry-relevant chemicals such as biofuels, bioplastics, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics[1]. In Vitro:Bisabolene (mixture of isomers) (96 h) produces α-bisabolene in the engineered Synechococcus sp. PCC 7002 BIS strain[1].
