Xylotriose is a natural xylooligosaccharide, acts as a bifidogenic factor[1]. In Vitro:Xylotriose is an oligosaccharide that acts as an inducer of the xylanase Xyn5 on the cell surface of Paenibacillus sp. W-61. Xylotriose enhances the activity of the xyn5 promoter, thereby increasing the expression of the xyn5 gene, and promoting the utilization of xylan by bacteria[2].
