N-Phthaloylglycine (Phthaloyl glycine) is a Type II fragmentary hapten (FX-type) with antimicrobial activity. N-Phthaloylglycine acts against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus epidermidis. N-Phthaloylglycine can be used for the research of fungal and bacterial infection[1][2]. In Vitro:N-Phthaloylglycine inhibits growth of Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus epidermidis with zone of inhibition values of 16 mm, 14.2 mm, and 15.6 mm, respectively[2].
