Germanicol is a selective antineoplastic agent against human colon cancer cell lines HCT-116 and HT29 . Germanicol induces apoptosis via chromatin condensation and DNA damage[1].
In Vitro:Germanicol (0-100 µM; 6 h and 24 h) shows selective, potent and dose-dependent cytotoxicity in HCT-116 and HT29 human colon cancer cells. Germanicol induces HCT-116 and HT29 cells death in a dose-dependent manner[1].
Germanicol (0-100 µM; 48 h) induces HCT-116 colon cancer cells apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner[1].
Germanicol (0-100 µM; 0-48 h) inhibits HCT-116 colon cancer cells migration[1].
