1-Methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid is an AP-1 inhibitor which can be found in Cordyceps bassiana. 1-Methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid downregulates the expression of COX-2. 1-Methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid can be used for the study of atopic dermatitis[1][2].
In Vitro:1-Methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid (Compound 7) (200-400 μM) significantly suppresses AP-1-mediated luciferase activity, downregulates the expression of COX-2 mRNA, but had no significant effect on TNF-α in RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated by LPS (HY-D1056)[1].
