Introduction of 36703-88-5 :

Inosine pranobex is an orally active immunomodulator. Inosine pranobex has broad-spectrum antiviral activity. Inosine pranobex inhibits human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), herpes simplex virus (HSV), vaccinia virus (VACV), human tumor virus (HPV), Cytomegalovirus, influenza virus (INFV), parainfluenza virus (PIV), and Epstein-Barr virus [2][3][4][5]. In Vitro:Inosine pranobex (50-200 mg/L; 24-72 h) significantly increases the secretion of TNF-α and IFN-γ (72 h) in lymphocytes, and inhibites IL-10 stimulated by PHA (5 mg/L) to produce lymphocytes, showing immunomodulatory properties[2].
Inosine pranobex (50-800 μg/mL; 48 h) can reduce the titer of HAdV-2 (IC50=1743.8 μg/mL) and HAdV-5 (IC50=1304.5 μg/mL) in A549 cells, and strongly inhibit the proliferation of the virus at high concentrations[3].
