Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide is a flavonoid found in Scutellaria baicalensis. Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide inhibits α-glucosidase and α-amylase with IC50 values of 612.13 and 980.73 μg/mL. Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide suppresses NF-κB signaling activity. Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide scavenges free radicals, acts as a tight junction protector, and mitigates intestinal mucosal barrier injury. Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide can be used for the research of type 2 diabetes and severe acute pancreatitis-induced intestinal mucosal barrier injury[1][2].
In Vitro:Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide (0-2 mg/mL; 2 h) inhibits yeast α-glucosidase with an IC50 of 612.13 μg/mL[1].
Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide (0-2 mg/mL; 20 min) inhibits porcine pancreatic α-amylase with an IC50 of 980.73 μg/mL[1].
Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide (16 μM; 24 h) restores ZO-1 expression and tight junction structure in TNF-α-treated IEC-6 cells[2].
In Vivo:Chrysin-7-O-glucuronide (20 mg/kg; i.p.; every 6 hours) significantly ameliorates SAP-induced intestinal mucosal barrier injury in rats by suppressing NF-κB inflammatory signaling, reducing intestinal pathological damage, restoring tight junction integrity, and lowering systemic intestinal injury marker levels[2].
