N8-Acetylspermidine dihydrochloride is a polyamine metabolite. N8-Acetylspermidine dihydrochloride can be oxidatively deaminated by copper amine oxidase. N8-Acetylspermidine dihydrochloride can also induce the differentiation of PC12 cells and promote neurite outgrowth[1][2].
In Vitro:Non-salt form:
N8-Acetylspermidine (0.1-1000 μM; 1-7 days) can induce the differentiation of PC12 cells, leading to morphological changes such as neurite outgrowth, and increase the intracellular dopamine level[2].
