UBP 1112 is a selective group III mGluR antagonist, with a Kd of 5.1 μM.UBP 1112 shows 96-fold affinity for group III over group II mGlu receptor (Kd, 488 μM), and shows no significant activity at group I mGlu receptor or iGlu receptor[1]. IC50 & Target:Kd: 5.1 μM (group III mGluR), 488 μM (group II mGluR)[1] In Vitro:UBP 1112 antagonises the depression of the fast component of the dorsal root-evoked ventral root potential induced by (S)-AP4 with apparent KD of 5.1 μM. UBP 1112 also antagonises the (S)-AP4 induced depression of synaptic transmission, with pA2 of 5.3. In addition, UBP 1112 (1 mM) displays little or no activity on (S)-3,5-DHPG-, NMDA-, AMPA- or kainate-induced responses on motoneurones[1].
