MNI-135 is a selective group II metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR) inhibitor. MNI-135 shows no inhibitory activity against group I or group III mGluRs[1].
In Vitro:MNI-135 potently inhibits glutamate-induced calcium mobilization in HEK293A cells expressing rmGluR2, with an IC50 of 19.6 nM[1].
MNI-135 potently inhibits glutamate-induced calcium mobilization in CHO cells expressing hmGluR2, with an IC50 value of 10.51 nM[1].
MNI-135 inhibits [35S]GTPγS binding to glutamate-stimulated CHO cell membranes expressing hmGluR2, with an IC50 of 118.2 nM[1].
