Bis(dibenzylideneacetone)palladium(0) is used as a reagent for the preparation of allylic substituted cyclopentadienes. It acts as a homogeneous catalyst as well as in the alkylation of allyl acetates by various nucleophiles. Furthermore, it is used in Suzuki reaction.
