PenCB (PCB 118) could induces pyroptosis by priming and activating NFκB-dependent NLRP3 inflammasome. PCB 118 induces oxidative stress and pyroptosis are dependent on Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) activation and subsequent cytochrome P450 1A1 upregulation[1]. In Vitro:PCB 118 exposure-induces oxidative stress leads to NLRP3 inflammasome-dependent pyroptosis in endothelial cells[1].
