Pirimiphos-methyl is an organophosphorus insecticide and acaricide that can inhibit AChE in target organisms. Pirimiphos-methyl is often used for prevention and control of beetles, snout beetles, moths and Ephestia cautella during storage of agricultural grains[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Pirimiphos-methyl (1000 μM; 48 h) acts cytotoxic, increases the vitamin E levels, decreases Folate and Thiamine (HY-N0680) derivate levels, in Atlantic salmon hepatocytes[2]. In Vivo:Pirimiphos-methyl (10-120 mg/kg; oral administration; once daily; 28 days) induces allergic responses by relatively enhancing TH2 development and additionally contribute to chronic inflammation by attracting macrophage by IFN-γ, in Balb/c mice[4].
