Nordoxepin hydrochloride (Desmethyldoxepin hydrochloride) is an active metabolite of the tricyclic antidepressant Doxepin (HY-B0725A). Nordoxepin hydrochloride can be used in research on depression-related disorders[1][2]. In Vitro:Nordoxepin (NDox) hydrochloride can be quantified in human plasma using a validated LC-MS/MS method over the concentration range of 5.00-1300 pg/mL, with good linearity and high sensitivity[2]. In Vivo:Nordoxepin hydrochloride exhibits a brain/plasma ratio of 1.9, logD of 2.08, P‑gp affinity of 1.5 and plasma protein binding of 79 % in mouse distribution relevant experiments[1].
