2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside is a substrate for β-glucosidase. 2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside can be used to test β-glucosidase activity[1][2]. In Vitro:Purified β-glucosidase from Cellulomonas biazotea has an apparent Km and V for 2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside of 0.416 mM and 0.22 U/mg protein, respectively[1].
