Lamiide, an orally active iridoid compound, can be found in Bouchea fluminensis leaves. Lamiide exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-lipoperoxidative activity[1]. In Vitro: Lamiide inhibits rat-brain phospholipid peroxidation, with an IC50 of 0.92 mM[1]. In Vivo: Lamiide (12.5-100 mg/kg; p.o. 30 min before Carrageenin injection) dose-dependently reduces Carrageenin-induced edema[1].
