1-Methyl-1H-pyrrolopyridine is a 7-azaindole derivative that binds to the EGFR kinase domain. It inhibits the growth of breast cancer cells but shows no activity against lung cancer and liver cancer cells. 1-Methyl-1H-pyrrolopyridine can be used in breast cancer research [1]. In Vitro:1-Methyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine (Compound 1a) (48 h) inhibits MCF-7 cell growth with an IC50 of 179.8 μM[1].
