CyJohnPhos (2-(Dicyclohexylphosphino)biphenyl) is an organophosphine ligand. Gold (I) complexes derived from CyJohnPhos exhibit anti-colon cancer activity, inhibit the enzymatic activities of COX-1/COX-2 and TrxR, upregulate ROS levels, induce cell apoptosis, and some derivatives can induce cell cycle arrest. CyJohnPhos can serve as an intermediate for research related to organic synthesis[1][2].
In Vitro:CyJohnPhos-derived gold (I) complexes exhibit antiproliferative activity against Caco-2/TC7 colon cancer cells. The representative complex [Au (L4)(CyJohnPhos)]SbF6 (4a) has a selectivity index of 7.47. It inhibits COX-1, COX-2 and TrxR, increases intracellular ROS levels in a concentration-dependent manner, induces tumor cell apoptosis, and triggers G1-phase cell cycle arrest[1].
CyJohnPhos (2-(dicyclohexylphosphino) bipheny) (10 mol %) catalyzes the direct arylation of N-substituted indoles, N-substituted pyrroles, and furan substrates with aryl chlorides[2].
