Epiyangambin is a competitive platelet activating factor receptor (PAF) antagonist that dose-dependently inhibits PAF-induced platelet aggregation. Epiyangambin also inhibits the growth of human colon cancer cells (SW480 cells)[1][2]. In Vitro:Epiyangambin (0-25 µM; 24 h) inhibits growth of SW480 cells in a dose-dependent manner[1]. In Vivo:Epiyangambin (20 mg/kg) significantly inhibits PAF (platelet activating factor)-induced thrombocytopenia in rats[2].
