Cinepazide is a piperazine derivative and acts as a weak calcium channel blocker. Cinepazide is a potent vasodilator and can be used for the research of cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, brain?infarct et. al[1]. In Vivo: Cinepazide (intravenous?injection; 30 mg/kg) potentiates the vertebral vasodilator response of dogs to intravertebral adenosine and cyclic AMP, while cinnarizine reduces their vasodilator effects[1]. Cinepazide (intravertebral injection; 1-10 mg/kg) increases vertebral blood flow in a dose-related manner and the effect is partially inhibited by Aminophylline (HY-B0140)?in dogs[1].
