In Vitro:4-Amino-3-hydroxybenzoic acid (0.12% (w/v)) is metabolized by Bordetella sp. strain 10d via the dehydrogenative modified meta-cleavage pathway, with pyruvate as the final product[1].
4-Amino-3-hydroxybenzoic acid (0.12% (w/v)) serves as a growth substrate for Bordetella sp. strain 10d, which completely degrades it without the accumulation of detectable 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid in the culture medium[2].
