Introduction of 23672-07-3 :

Levosulpiride (RV-12309) is the (S)-enantiomer of sulpiride, which is a D2 receptor a antagonist, an atypical antipsychotic agent of the benzamide class. In Vitro:Levosulpiride (3-1000 μM, 20-60 min) enhances the contractile responses induced by electrical stimulation in the gastric antrum and longitudinal muscle strips of the colon, slightly antagonizes the contractile responses induced by the 5-HT3 receptor agonist in the longitudinal muscle-myenteric plexus of the ileum, regulates the gastrointestinal motility in guinea pigs isolated gastrointestinal tissues[3]. In Vivo:Levosulpiride (5 mg/kg, po, once a day for 10 days) exhibits antidepressant and anxiolytic activities in LPS (HY-D1056)-administrated mouse models[1].
Levosulpiride (5 mg/kg, po, once a day for 2 weeks) reduces the serum glucose level, improves gastrointestinal motility, alleviates type 2 diabetes mellitus in rats Streptozotocin (HY-13753) or Nicotinamide (HY-B0150)-induced T2DM models[2].
