LB42908 is a potent, selective and orally active farnesyltransferase inhibitor. LB42908 inhibits farnesylation of H-Ras, K-Ras with IC50 values of 0.9 nM, 2.4 nM for H-Ras, K-Ras, respectively. LB42908 shows antiproliferative activity. LB42908 shows antitumor activity[1]. IC50 & Target:IC50: 0.9 nM (H-Ras); 2.4 nM (K-Ras)[1] In Vitro:LB42908 shows antiproliferative activity with GI50s of 4.5, 17.6, 1.2, 0.56, 0.45 nM for HT29, HCT116, A549, EJ, T24 cells, respectively[1]. In Vivo:LB42908 (20, 40, 60 mg/kg; p.o.; twice daily for 21 days) inhibits tumor growth in a dose-dependent manner[1].
