PAR 4 (1-6) human, a hexapeptide, is a fragment of protease-activated receptor 4 (PAR4). PAR 4 (1-6) TFA acts as a PAR4-specific agonist[1]. In Vitro:PAR 4 (1-6) (GYPGQV) stimulats [3H]-thymidine incorporation in SMC. At 500 μM, the peptide increases DNA synthesis 2.5 fold above controls. A comparable mitogenic effect is obtained after stimulation of the SMC by 10 nM thrombin or 100 μM SFLLRN, respectively[2].
