(+)-Solketal is a biochemical reagent that can be used as a biological material or organic compound for life science related research. In Vitro: (S)-(+)-2,3-O-Isopropylideneglycerol acts as a MEK inhibitor with antitumor activity. It is also employed in the preparation of a chiral allylic triol through extrusion of sulfur dioxide from an alfa,beta-epoxysulfone.
