As an important intermediate, L-Homoserine lactone hydrochloride acylated derivatives have potent immunosuppressive activity[1][2]. In Vitro:L-Homoserine lactone hydrochloride can be produced by the enzymatic hydrolysis of AHLs by plant fatty acid amide hydrolase. The effects of AHLs on plant growth depend on their degradation into L-Homoserine lactone hydrochloride, which can affect plant seedling growth in a concentration-dependent manner: at low concentrations, it stimulates plant growth by promoting transpiration, while at high concentrations, it inhibits growth by stimulating ethylene production[2].
