Yhhu-3792 is a Notch activator. Yhhu-3792 enhances the self-renewal capability of neural stem cells (NSCs). Yhhu-3792 promotes the expression of Hes3 and Hes5. Yhhu-3792 increases the spatial and episodic memory abilities of mice. Thhu-3792 can be used for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease) or for neural regeneration after brain injury[1][2].
In Vitro:Yhhu-3792 (0.63-2.5 μM, 8 d) increases the number of embryonic hippocampal neural stem cells (NSCs)[1].
Yhhu-3792 (0.63-2.5 μM, 2 d) activates the Notch signaling pathway and promotes the expression of Hes5 and Hes3 in neuro-spheres[1].
Yhhu-3792 (2.5 μM, 7-14 d) fails to significantly increase the proportion or purity of natural killer (NK) cell[2].
In Vivo:Yhhu-3792 (10-20 mg/kg, i.p., once daily for 3 weeks) enhances the self-renewal of the hippocampal NSCs and promotes the hippocampal neuro-genesis and improves the spatial learning and memory ability of mice[1].
