Murrayone is a coumarin compound with antifungal and antiplatelet activities. Murrayone disrupts fungal redox homeostasis, impairs cell membrane integrity, inhibits sporulation, spore germination and hyphal growth, and causes morphological damage to fungal cells. Murrayone reduces the disease severity of blueberry fruits infected with Botrytis cinerea. Murrayone can be used in studies related to fungal infections and vascular diseases[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Murrayone (10-50 μg/mL; until mycelia cover at least two-thirds of the plate area) potently inhibits the mycelial growth of Botrytis cinerea strain Bc05.10 in a concentration-dependent manner, with an EC50 value of 39.18 μg/mL, and induces severe abnormalities in mycelial morphology[1].
Murrayone (40 μg/mL; 15 days) significantly reduces spore production of Botrytis cinerea strain Bc05.10[1].
Murrayone (25-200 μg/mL; 12 h) inhibits spore germination of *Botrytis cinerea* strain Bc05.10 in a concentration-dependent manner, with an almost complete inhibition rate (92.72%) at 200 μg/mL[1].
Murrayone (100-300 μg/mL; 12 h soaking, 5 days incubation) exerts no adverse effect on the germination rate of cucumber seeds of the Jinyan 4 cultivar, and promotes root growth at the concentration of 200 μg/mL[1].
