Etanercept, a dimeric fusion protein that binds TNF, acts as a TNF inhibitor. Etanercept competitively inhibits the binding of both TNF-α and TNF-β to cell surface TNF receptors, rendering TNF biologically inactive. Etanercept shows efficacy against rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and plaque psoriasis[1][2][3]. IC50 & Target:TNF[1] In Vivo: Etanercept (10 mg/kg; s.c.; every 3 days for 3 weeks) significantly decreases the mean arthritis scores and radiological score[4].
