Racanisodamine is an orally active, non-selective Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor (mAChR) antagonist. Racanisodamine is a racemate of Anisodamine, and the two share similar pharmacological effects. Racanisodamine is an active ingredient of eye drops for myopia control. Racanisodamine can be used in research on myopia and late dumping syndrome[1][2].
In Vivo:Racanisodamine (0.05% solution, 2 drops total; topical ocular instillation; single administration at 5 min intervals; observation for 360 min) produces a significant moderate mydriatic effect and has no effect on accommodative response[1].
Racanisodamine (p.o.; half an hour before meals; for more than 3 days) in combination with Acarbose (HY-B0089) eliminates hypoglycemic symptoms and maintains normal blood glucose levels[2].
