WRC-0571 is an orally effective, potent, and selective non-xanthine adenosine A1 receptor antagonist with a Ki value of 1.7 nM for the human A1 receptor. WRC-0571 competitively binds to and blocks adenosine A1 receptor, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling and physiological responses. WRC-0571 can be used for research on bradycardia[1][2][3].
In Vitro:WRC-0571 (1 μM) is a highly A1-selective antagonist that completely blocks A1 receptors in guinea pig brain but does not block A3 receptors in guinea pig, hamster, cat, and human pineal gland membranes[1].
WRC-0571 (2.5 h) binds to recombinant rat A3 adenosine receptors with an IC50 of 23.2 μM in HEK-293 cell membranes[1].
WRC-0571 (1 μM) does not block A3 AR-mediated Akt phosphorylation in RBL-2H3 cells[2].
WRC-0571 is a potent non-xanthine A1 antagonist with high affinity for the human A1 receptor (Ki = 1.7 nM) and 200-fold selectivity over the A2A receptor[3].
