In Vitro:Cresol red, 97% binds tightly to bovine serum albumin (BSA) via a static quenching mechanism, with an equilibrium binding constant of 7.25×105 L/M. There is one primary binding site, which effectively quenches the intrinsic fluorescence of BSA[1].
