Aldicarb sulfone is one of the metabolites of the carbamate pesticide Aldicarb and has insecticidal activity. Aldicarb sulfone is also an inhibitor of cholinesterase[1][2].
In Vivo:Aldicarb sulfone (1-100 μg/mL; solution exposure; single treatment) inhibits egg hatching, reduces nematode motility, and hinders male larval development in Tylenchulus semipenetrans[1].
Aldicarb sulfone (19.2 ppm; drinking water) in combination with Aldicarb sulfoxide (HY-124104) decreases plasma pseudocholinesterase levels to 23%-32% of normal and red blood cell cholinesterase to 37%-43% of normal in rats[2].
