Chloralose (α-Chloralose) allosterically modulates GABAA receptor activity and binds to a site on the GABAA receptor complex, neurosteroid, and barbiturate sites[1]. IC50 & Target: EC50: 49 μM (GABA receptor)[1] In Vitro: Chloralose (α-Chloralose) activates the gama-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-induced chloride conductance of gama-aminobutyric acidA (GABAA) receptors expressed in Xenopus laevis oocytes with an EC50 value of 49 μM[1]
