Bacoside A3 is a triterpenoid saponin isolated from Bacopa monnieri. Bacoside A3 has neuroprotective activity, downregulating β-amyloid-induced inflammatory responses and inhibiting neuronal apoptosis. Bacoside A3 can be used in the study of Alzheimer's disease[1][2]. In Vitro:Bacoside A3 (0.5-5 μM; 24 h) prevents β-amyloid (10 μM)-mediated growth inhibition of U87MG cells[1].
