Alisol F

Alisol F is a protostane-type triterpenoid with anti-inflammatory and anti-hepatitis B virus activities. Alisol F inhibits LPS (HY-D1056)-induced phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, p38, STAT3 and NF-κB (p65), suppresses the production of NO, IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β, and also downregulates the levels of iNOS and COX-2. Alisol F reduces the serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels in mice with acute liver injury and ameliorates their liver pathological damage^[1][2]. In Vitro:Alisol F (3.3-33 μM; 2 h pre-incubation followed by 4 or 24 h LPS stimulation) dose-dependently suppresses iNOS and COX-2 mRNA and protein expression in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages^[1]. In Vivo:Alisol F (20 mg/kg; i.p.; once daily for 3 consecutive days) exerts potent protective effects against LPS/D-Galactose (HY-N0210)-induced acute liver failure in male C57BL/6 mice by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production, reducing hepatic enzyme release, improving liver histological morphology, and downregulating the activation of MAPK and NF-κB pathways^[1].
