Bifenazate is a carbazate acaricide that control 100% of mites at a concentration of 25 ppm[1]. Bifenazate is a positive allosteric modulator of GABA receptor[2]. Bifenazate is the inhibitor for the mitochondrial electron transport chain complex III[3].
IC50 & Target:GABA receptor[2].
In Vitro:Bifenazate (0-10 mg/L, 96 h) inhibits ATPase activity and affects the expression of genes related to the calcium ion signaling pathway. Bifenazate induces the ROS production, leads to oxidative stress[3].
Bifenazate (0-10 mg/L, 96 h) induces apoptosis in brain and heart regions, exhibits cardiotoxicity and causes morphological abnormalities, such as pericardial edema, cardiac cyclization disorder, decreased heart rate, shortened body length, and increased mortality in the zebrafish embryos[3].
