NE-100 hydrochloride is an orally active and selective sigma-1 receptor antagonist with an IC50 of 4.16 nM. NE-100 hydrochloride can improve cognitive impairment and has neuroprotective and antipsychotic activities. NE-100 hydrochloride can be used for research on nervous system diseases[1][2][3].
In Vitro: NE-100 (0.1-3 µM; 1-25 h) hydrochloride inhibits cell death and regulates the expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins in Tunicamycin (HY-A0098)-treated HT22 cells. The mechanism involves activation of the ATF6 pathway[1].
In Vivo: NE-100 (oral administration; single dose) hydrochloride exhibits antipsychotic activity in rats[2].
NE-100 (0.03-1 mg/kg; oral administration; single dose) hydrochloride improves cognitive impairment in rat models[3].
