Talc, a naturally occurring mineral composed primarily of magnesium, silicon and oxygen, is used in many cosmetics, from baby powder to blush[1][2]. In Vitro:Talc (50-100 μg/mL, 24 h) promotes the generation of ROS in RAW246.7 cell, and modulates the expression of antitumor-related genes when used with Estradiol (HY-B0141)[3]. In Vivo:Talc (1 g/rat, sc) induces granulomas and causes immunosuppression in rats models[2].
