Introduction of 148057-23-2 :

Astin C (Asterin) is a cyclopeptide that can be extracted from Aster tataricus. Astin C has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities. Astin C can specifically inhibit the cGAS-STING signaling pathway, block the recruitment of IRF3 to the STING signalosome, and thus inhibit the innate inflammatory response. Astin C can be used in the research of autoimmune diseases and cancers[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Astin C (10 μM; 6 h) significantly inhibits the expression of Ifnb mRNA induced by cGAS or STING in HEK293 cells[1].
Astin C (10 μM; 6 h) significantly impaires the interactions between STING and IRF3, as well as between STING and SCAP, and inhibits the aggregation of SCAP and IRF3 in HEK293T cells and MEFs[1]. In Vivo:Astin C (2-4 mg/kg; tail vein injection; once every 2 days; 7 days) can make C57BL/6 mice more susceptible to HSV-1 infection. Additionally, in the autoimmune disease model of Trex1-/- mice, it exhibits anti-inflammatory activity[1].
Astin C (5.0 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection; 5 days) achieves a tumor growth inhibition rate of 45% in male ICR mice inoculated with Sarcoma 180 ascites tumor[3].
