(rel)-β-Tocopherol is a relative configuration of β-Tocopherol. β-Tocopherol is a lipid-soluble form of vitamin E with antioxidant activity[1].
In Vitro:β-Tocopherol (50 μM, 48 h) slightly inhibits A7r5 (10% inhibition) and CHO cell (20% inhibition) proliferation, while showing no inhibition against HeLa cells[2].
β-Tocopherol (50 μM, 24 h) inhibits PMA (HY-18739)-induced adhesion of human erythroleukemia (HEL) cells (11% inhibition), and inhibits the expression of integrins α4 and α5 on cell surface[3].
