Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside is a component isolated from Phellodendron amurense, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities. Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside inhibits nitric oxide (NO) production, and the expression of iNOS and COX-2. Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside also inhibits the nuclear translocation of NF-κB. Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and related genes[1][2].
In Vitro:Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside (500 μM, 24 h) significantly inhibits the expression of inflammatory factors (IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, COX-2, CXCL1, MCP-1) induced by LPS (HY-D1056) in Raw 264.7 cells[1].
Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside (200 and 500 μM, 24 h) concentration dependent inhibits MMP-2 and MMP-9 enzyme activity and Ninj1 expression in Raw 264.7 cells[1].
Phenyl β-D-glucopyranoside (200 and 500 μM) inhibits adhesion to fibronectin, type I collagen, laminin, and gelatin in Raw 264.7 cells[1].
