Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 1 is a competitive, pseudo-reversible inhibitor of human neutrophil elastase (HNE) with an IC50 of 7 nM. Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 1 also exhibits inhibitory activity against thrombin, chymotrypsin and urokinase, with IC50 values of 1.9 μM, 66 nM and 6.6 μM, respectively. Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 1 can be used in research related to acute respiratory distress syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other conditions[1]. IC50 & Target:IC50: 7 nM (Neutrophil elastase), 1.9 μM (Thrombin), 0.066 μM (chymotrypsin), 6.6 μM (urokinase) In Vitro:Neutrophil elastase inhibitor 1 (Compound 5b) (5 μM; 0-7 h) is a pseudo-irreversible inhibitor of human neutrophil elastase, which maintains a persistent inhibitory effect (80% of that of the control group) even 7 h after treatment with 5 μM of this compound[1].
