In Vitro:R-87366 has potent inhibitory for human immunodeficiency virus protease with a Ki value of 11 nM[1].
R-87366 has activity for HIV-1IIIB acutely infected cells with an IC90 value of 0.5 μM[1].
R-87366 has moderate water-solubility[1].
R-87366 (0.25 μM; 0.5 μM) also has active in chronically infected Molt-4/HIV-1IIIB cells, and inhibits the proteolytic processing of p55 into p17[1].
