Diosgenin glucoside, a saponin compound extracted from Trillium tschonoskii, provides neuroprotection by regulating microglial M1 polarization. Diosgenin glucoside protects against spinal cord injury by regulating autophagy and alleviating apoptosis [1][2]. In Vivo:Diosgenin glucoside (100 mg/kg, po, once daily for 21 days) promotes the motor function recovery, reduces tissue damage and edema after spinal cord injury, reduces cell apoptosis, and activates autophagy in spinal cord injury (SCI) rats models[2].
