Rhodanine is a selective Echovirus 12 proliferation inhibitor and intermediate. Rhodanine is used to determine tannase activity. Rhodanine can be used in the synthesis of anticancer and antibacterial agents[1][2][3][4][5].
In Vitro:Rhodanine (150 μg/mL) shows a significant inhibitory effect on echovirus 12 in primary monkey kidney cell cultures, reducing over 90% of virus-induced cell damage[3].
