Introduction of 141-22-0 :

Ricinoleic acid (purity≥85%), a hydroxy fatty acid, is an attractive feedstock for the production of high-performance lubricants, cosmetics, polymers, surfactants, and coatings. Ricinoleic acid is the main active ingredient of Castor oil (HY-107799). Ricinoleic acid is the agonist for prostaglandin EP3 receptor (EP3 receptor) (EC50 in MEG-01 is 0.5 μM), that causes laxative effects and uterine contraction. Ricinoleic acid exhibits antianxiety-like, anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory properties[1][2][3][4][5]. In Vitro:Ricinoleic acid (10-100 μM, 24 h) inhibits the release of β-HEX in RBL-2H3 cells induced by DNP-BSA in a dose-dependent manner in RBL-2H3 cells[2].
Ricinoleic acid (10-100 μM, 24 h) inhibits glucose production in a dosedependent manner in H4IIE cells[2].
Ricinoleic acid (100 μM, 80 min) increases contractile activity in intestinal and uterine smooth muscle of wild-type mice, thereby promoting intestinal peristalsis and uterine contraction, leading to laxative effect and labor[4].
In Vivo:Ricinoleic acid (5%, single dose, sc) exhibits antianxiety-like effect in C57BL/6J mouse models[3].
Ricinoleic acid (0.3-100 mg/guinea pig, eyelid surface administration) enhances eyelid edema at low doses, suppresses eyelid edema after repeat application in Carrageenan (HY-125474)-induced guinea-pig eyelid edema models[5].
