Leucomycin (Kitasamycin) is an orally active macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces kitasatoensis. Leucomycin has broad-spectrum antibacterial activities against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, leptospira, spirochaetes, rickettsiae and some larger viruses[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
In Vitro:Leucomycin (0.1-100 μg/mL, 0-8 h) demonstrates weak bactericidal activities against Staphylococci similar to Maridomycin in vitro[6].
